Malacca Sketchbook

A personal tribute to the charm and diversity of Malacca by two eminent Malaysians, a leading watercolour artist and an architect specialising in historic buildings, featuring over 150 paintings and sketches.

The Malacca Sketchbook reveals the city's rich cultural heritage, reflected in the colourful fabric of its traditional houses, association buildings, shophouses, places of worship and historic monuments such as the Stadthuys and St Paul's Church. Over the course of four centuries, the Portuguese, Dutch and British left their imprint here; as did, over an even longer period, settlers, merchants and migrants from India, the Malay archipelago, China and beyond.
