"Apart from the state’s financial support via some of these monetary benefits and gifts that we provide, and the boom in state-investments and employment, what people in Selangor and certainly in Malaysia want to see is a country which is democratic, has integrity, and led by a corrupt-free government. A government that is attentive to the people. Saturdays, Sundays and non-office hours, are prime time slots for me to attend various activities and functions. I make it a point to show up so that the people know, that although I have various duties as a member of the ruling state government, I am also with the rakyat and will not neglect the needs of the constituents." – Teresa Kok
