Land Below the Wind

Using ink and board to produce detailed black and white illustrations, artist Awang Fadilah tells us about his beloved homeland, Sabah. Through his unique illustrations, we are able to enjoy the rich cultural heritage and the gifts of nature so abundantly endowned on this place, also known as Land Below the Wind. Awang won the runner-up prize for the illuistrations in this book in the Noma Concours for Picture Book Illustrations organised by the Asia-Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO in Tokyo.
