Mei Chern

Known for her reflective and insightful songs, Mei Chern is an experimental psychologist by training and has written columns for The Sun and The Malaysian Insider. Her songs on social justice have been used in award winning documentaries. Her self-titled CD best captures her songs delivered with an honest and earthy voice. They include:

On the strength of these songs, she was selected to play at The Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival 2008, an international feminist music festival in the USA and the longest running women’s music festival in the world whose past performers include Ani Difranco, Indigo Girls, Tracy Chapman, Jill Sobule, and Sarah McLachlan.
